Hello everybody, we are still having fun and stuff, but working too (almost)!

All settled into our new home, we have fallen into a rhythm of work and weekend warriorism. Well, Annie has anyways... Will continues his valiant search for employment (interview tomorrow, cross your fingers).
Lunch on Waikehere Island with Dan...
Camping illegally on the beach, don't tell, we looked liked pirates, but the view of the sunrise was worth it. The beach was also over volcanic rock which heated the sand at low tide to 160 degrees, making a late night walk on the beach a strange and wonderful mix of hot and cold.
The pastures are greener here (more than Ireland or the Willamette Valley!), we are convinced the tourism board spray paints the grass and cows to subsidize the waning post card industry.
On a quick paced 4-hour run through a coastal forest (led by the local "amazon woman" and expedition leader) we found the mother Kauri tree, which stood hundreds of feet tall and was as massive as a redwood in girth.
Last moments of freedom from the city at Cathedral cove. The city is nice too though.
